A Death doula is a light in the dark. We offer friendship and companionship when others might be less than sure footed. We offer knowledge from personal experiences and guidance as gently as possible. We can't fix everything, but we can offer a clear head, a hand to hold and a path through the darkness. No one should be along in death, unless by choice.
Me. Hello! My name is Sunday (yes it really is) and being a death doula is my soul calling. I have worn many hats in my life - Sears photographer, industrial painter, magic wand maker...But the calling to be a death doula is what I was made for.
I have been exploring the ideas of death, religion, grief and emotional growth since I was six. My fascination has only deepened as I've aged. The most elusive, deep, drawing question in our lives is "what happens when we die?" The question is a driving force behind all of life's deepest passions, and I've come to a place in my life where I've accepted that I should focus on helping people answer that question.
I want to apply my lifetime of exploration knowledge to helping people cross over. We live in a time when everyone can experience a good death. I want to do my part to make that happen.
